Storybook Ballet

Storybook Ballet continues to ignite your child’s imagination, and teach the basics of classical ballet and creative dance with a strong focus on storytelling and theatre. A story is read at the beginning of class, and the movement that follows is inspired by that story. Storybook Ballet teaches the basic ballet steps and gross motor skills, while captivating your child’s imagination through storytelling, the use of props and age appropriate music. Your child will love exploring our monthly themes!

Storybook Adventure Ballet (Primary RAD) (ages 5-7)

Our Storybook Adventure Ballet continues to build upon the classical foundations taught in our preschool program. Our classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus while also introducing the study of classical ballets taught using our own Element syllabus. Our levels progress as your dancer develops, and the lessons and exercises are designed to both challenge, inspire and develop in your child a lifelong love of ballet. With a big focus on unlocking your child’s imagination and telling a story through dance, these classes progress from our preschool program into building their dance technique, and learning the beautiful skill of improvisation and choreography.
This class participates in our winter and spring performances.


Ballet Levels 1-9 (RAD)

Our Ballet levels 1 through 9 are designed to lay out, and build upon the classical foundation of ballet. As class levels increase, students will notice a more structured flow of technique, while keeping the class creative and fun. Our classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus while also introducing the study of classical ballet taught using our own Element syllabus. Our levels progress as your dancer develops, and the lessons and exercises are designed to both challenge, inspire and develop in your child a lifelong love of ballet. With a big focus on unlocking your child’s imagination and telling a story through dance, these classes progress into building their dance technique, and learning the beautiful skill of improvisation and choreography.
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) offers an internationally recognized portfolio of exams and assessments, designed to encourage, motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities, providing a progressive structure for learning and achievement in dance. An option of examinations will be presented if the dancer is ready to take the exam. *The costume for these classes will be the dancers class uniform.*

Ballet Foundations for Company Dancers

Ballet is an art form created by the movement of the human body. It is theatrical and can tell a story or express a thought, concept or emotion. In this class dancers will focus on the fundamentals of ballet technique at the intermediate level. This class is for Company dancers interested in ballet who are 12 years of age or older.
This class participates in our spring performance ONLY.
*The costume for this class will be their class uniform.*


Beginner Pointe

Pointe work is a fundamental component of advanced ballet technique, in which dancing occurs on the tips of fully extended feet supported within specialised pointe shoes. Beginner Pointe is a permission-only class for dancers in Level 5 and above. The first half of the year will focus on preparatory conditioning and technique work, with the dancers passing an assessment to ensure safety in strength and alignment before progressing to pointe work in the second half of the year.

Due to the introductory level nature of this class, dancers do NOT participate in performances. In lieu of this, a class observation day may occur in June.


Elementary Pointe

Pointe work is a fundamental component of advanced ballet technique, in which dancing occurs on the tips of fully extended feet supported within specialized pointe shoes. Elementary Pointe is a permission-only class for dancers in Level 7 and above. Dancers must have at least one year of experience or have completed Beginner Pointe.

This class does NOT participate in our winter performance. If the class progression allows, a routine MAY be performed in the spring show.


Tiny Hip Hoppers (ages 3-5)

Learn the fundamentals of hip hop dance in a fun and positive atmosphere! With exciting use of props in our lessons, your dancer will anticipate monthly themes and love sharing all their new moves at home.These dancers will be grooving and moving, with age appropriate music and of course, lots of swag.

Elements Hip Hop Levels 1-4

Learn how to groove! In these classes, dancers will develop and build upon the technique and fundamentals of hip-hop dance in a fun and positive atmosphere. These dancers will be moving and grooving, with age-appropriate music and lots of swag.

Elements Jazz/Contemporary Levels 1-4

In our Elements Jazz/Contemp classes, dancers will learn how to move their bodies and get to experience two styles of dance - Jazz and Contemporary. Elements 1 builds a solid foundation and structured flow of technique while keeping the class creative and fun in a positive atmosphere. Our classes follow the ADAPT syllabus while also introducing the study of dance and artistry taught using our own Element syllabus.
Our levels progress as your dancer develops, and the lessons and exercises are designed to both challenge, inspire and develop in your child a lifelong love of dance. With a big focus on expression and telling a story through dance, these classes progress into building their dance technique and learning the beautiful skill of improvisation and choreography.

Mighty Minis!

An intro to performance and Company for our young dancers! This class consists of jazz and hip hop for ages 4-6, with some extra performance opportunities. These could include community events and/or our Company showcases. Dancers will also have the option to bring their routine to a dance competition if they wish. These Mighty dancers will have a fun, upbeat class where the emphasis is on having fun, learning proper dance techniques, and sharing it with an audience!


Tiny Elements Dance (Ages 3-4)

Tiny Elements continue to ignite your child’s imagination, and teach the basics of classical ballet and creative dance with a strong focus on storytelling and theatre. Using the help of fun and imaginative props in all our lessons, your dancer will anticipate our monthly themes and enjoy sharing all their new moves at home.

Bright Elements Dance (Ages 4-5)

Our Bright Elements classes continue to ignite your child’s imagination, teach the basics of classical ballet and creative dance with a strong focus on storytelling and theatre. Our Bright Elements classes progress with your children offering them more challenging technique, while building confident expressive dancers. With fun and imaginative props in all our lessons, your children will anticipate our monthly themes and enjoy sharing all their new moves at home.

Shining Elements Dance Combo (Jazz/Tap/Ballet)

In our Shining Elements Combo class, dancers will get to experience 3 styles of dance - Jazz, Tap and Ballet. This class builds a solid foundation and structured flow of technique, while keeping the class creative and fun in a positive atmosphere. Our classes follow the ADAPT and RAD syllabi while also introducing the study of dance and artistry taught using our own Element syllabus. Our levels progress as your dancer develops, and the lessons and exercises are designed to both challenge, inspire and develop in your child a lifelong love of dance. With a big focus on expression and telling a story through dance, these classes progress into building their dance technique, and learning the beautiful skill of improvisation and choreography.

Mini Movers Combo Class (jazz/tap/ballet) (ages 4-5)

In our Mini Movers Combo class, dancers will get to experience 3 styles of dance - Jazz, Tap and Ballet. Mini Movers Combo class builds a solid foundation and structured flow of technique, while keeping the class creative and fun in a positive atmosphere. Our classes follow the ADAPT and RAD syllabi while also introducing the study of dance and artistry taught using our own Element syllabus.

Our levels progress as your dancer develops, and the lessons and exercises are designed to both challenge, inspire and develop in your child a lifelong love of dance. With a big focus on expression and telling a story through dance, these classes progress into building their dance technique, and learning the beautiful skill of improvisation and choreography.

Building Jazz Tech Levels 1-3

Our Building Jazz Tech dives in to the movement to create strong confident dancers. This class covers techniques for dancers to move as a dancer, with fun aspects of jazz tech such as centre work and across the floor.

Our classes follow the ADAPT syllabus, and there is a potential to take a jazz dance exam if dancers are ready, but it is not required.
This class does NOT participates in performances.


Pre-Advanced Jazz Tech Levels 1-2

Our Pre-Advanced Jazz Tech progresses to a more advanced level understanding of the movement to create strong confident dancers. This class is all about becoming a strong, proficient, and technically abled dancer, and pushing for new growth and abilities.

Our classes follow the ADAPT syllabus, and there is a potential to take a jazz dance exam if dancers are ready, but it is not required.
NOTE: Beige slip-on jazz shoes may be required for examinations.
This class does NOT participate in performances.


Dancer Strength and Flexibility

This class is suitable for all levels, focussing on building muscular strength and endurance, cardio and flexibility, all in a fun but challenging way. Dancers work to build strength both focusing on the deep tissues and more core muscle groups. With the use of resistance bands, yoga blocks and other tools, dancers push their bodies to build a stronger body. Dancers will also focus on deepening their flexibility in all major areas of the body to increase range of movement in a safe and stable way. This class gives dancers the abilities to have major support and control for their dancing.


Pre-Advanced Tap

Our Pre-Advanced Tap moves into a higher level focus on rhythm, footwork, and performance in tap dance!

Our classes follow the ADAPT syllabus, and there is a potential to take a tap dance exam if dancers are ready, but it is not required.

Teeny Tumblers (ages 2-3)

They tumblers combines tumbling and dance skills, such as gallops, skips, rolls, mat work, handstands, pre-cartwheels and more! This is guaranteed to get your dancer moving!

No parent participation required. We find our Teeny Elements age often need extra support to transition from their grown up being in the room dancing with them to being outside the room watching. The Element team is understanding of this and will work with you to meet your child where they are at.

Tiny Tumblers

This active class combines tumbling and dance skills, such as gallops, skips, rolls, mat work, handstands, pre-cartwheels and more! This is guaranteed to get your dancer moving!

Acro Tumblers

Acro tumblers combines tumbling and dance skills, such as gallops, rolls, mat work, handstands, cartwheels and more! This is guaranteed to get your dancer moving!


Acrobatic Arts Levels 1- 8 (+Pre-Pro)

Acrobatic and dance combined in a challenging, fun, and safe environment. Skills such as walkovers, chest stands, and handstands are learned at this level. As students become more advanced, they can work up to skills such as aerials and handsprings. Acro focuses on increasing strength, flexibility, and creating fluid dance pieces. Class consists of warm up, stretching and strengthening exercises, conditioning, across the floor dance, circuits, balancing skills, across the floor skills, as well as combinations and choreography.

*A technique/foundations, ballet, or jazz class is highly recommended.*
